LeoKrut, company that specializes in developing scientific and educational software, was co-founded by Dr. Leonid Sakharov who has more than a quarter of a century (that’s more than 25years) of experience in scientific research and development of multidisciplinary technology processes. All software applications developed by LeoKrut have been created under the watchful eye of Dr. Leonid Sakharov.

One software application developed by LeoKrut is the aptly named LeoPicture. As the name indicated, this application is meant to let you edit your collection of digital images.

If you simply want to view an image file, you can open it with LeoPicture. In this regard the LeoPicture application provides support for .BMP, .JPG, .TIF, .PGN, .EMF, .EXF, and .WMF.

If you want to edit an image you’ve opened with LeoPicture, you can easily do so. The application allows you to do a lot of things, such as: correct colors, zoom in and out, deform an image, modify a part of an image, paint in image, change the contrast, change the saturation, filter noise, put a text label on an image, fix red eye effect, change the size of an image, rotate an image, and more. You can do all of this from the quite easy to use interface that LeoPicture provides.

Once you are done editing a picture, you can save it to your hard drive. Or you can print that image since LeoPicture also provides print support. Before you do, you can check out how the print will look via the print preview function.

Here are some other bits and pieces you need to know about LeoPicture. The download weighs in at less than 1MB, so it shouldn’t take long for the download to complete. The application will work just fine with pretty much all versions of the Microsoft-developed Windows operating system. You can use the application free of charge for as long as you want only if you’re willing to contend with a nag screen, a watermark on the output image, and the zooming down of files that exceed a certain limit. Otherwise, you will just have to shell out for a license.
